The law firm Al-Khatib is committed to the Orient-Occident dialogue.

Goethe’s "West-East Divan" is seen as a symbol of mutual attraction between Orient and Occident and goes far beyond the commercial exchange of goods which are required for the necessities of daily life.

The understanding and appreciation of both cultures is essential for our future and constitutes the pre-eminent challenge of our globalized society.

The founder of the law firm Umerr Arthur Al-Khatib is at home in both cultures. In the German Federal Foreign Office, Berlin, he worked as legal consultant on international economic law within the framework of the programme "Dialogue with the Islamic World".

We are committed to the dialogue "Orient-Occident" and to promoting cultural events which support contemporary artists who, with their creativity, remind and enable us to persue a common path.
